Christmas Traditions
Most of our families have like traditions, but for the newlyweds, new parents, or anyone looking for a wonderful tradition to start or add to their activities this time of year, we have listed a few favorites!

Having lots of fun and enjoying the family get together 

We always decorate the tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. 

A new ornament each year for each child

Making homemade chocolate donuts 

Having family Christmas parties

Visiting, visiting, and more visiting!

Making Paper chains and cutting one off for each day left til Christmas - The chain starts with 25 and we keep cutting down.  It helps the kids realize how close Christmas is getting!

Baby Jesus is not in the manger th weeks leading up to Christmas, on Christmas eve the children are sent on a search for the baby , the child that finds him gets to place him in the manger.

Getting a new special Christmas ornament each year.

To see who can make the most unique tree ornament.

Santa must put up our Christmas tree on Christmas Eve!

Radio playing XMAS music  all night along with the  outside XMAS lights being
on all night for Santa 

Reading the Christmas story from the Bible and  having a felt bag with the symbols of Christmas inside.  The children take turns pulling items out of the bag and talking about what the symbols mean.

Hiding one special ornament on the tree, whoever finds it gets a little gift.

To celebrate  Swedish  heritage we make Swedish butter cookies for Christmas.

Trying to guess the gifts before we can open them!

At Thanksgiving, when we all get together, we exchange ornaments we have made throughout the year.

New Year's day dinner is always turkey,mash potatoes, meat pie and ragout de boulettes.

Driving around looking at the Christmas lights.

Making crafts, telling stories, singing carols, and enjoying each other!

Watching Christmas Vacation!!!
